Prototyping Circuit Boards, Adding Laser Cut Display
This is a sample for a project in a brand new class I'm teaching called Tech Studio. It combines traditional art making practices with digital fabrication techniques. For this assignment, students are instructed to create a custom circuit design, etch it in a single-sided PCB, then design and laser cut a unique method for displaying an Arduino light show. This project is meant to serve as an introduction to Arduino programming while fostering a visual understanding of the flow of electricity. Additionally, students are challenged to unfold 2D laser cutter stock into 3D forms. It's one big puzzle!
